Joint Controllership
Pursuant to the judgment of the Court of Justice of the EU (Case C-210/16, Wirtschaftsakademie) and subsequent guidelines issued by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), where Massini Industries uses tools made available by social platforms (such as company Pages, statistical Insights, or Audiences features), joint controllership with the platform operator may arise.
In such cases, primary responsibility for GDPR compliance with respect to the technical infrastructure rests with the platform operator, while Massini Industries is responsible for the content published and any advertising campaigns activated.
