MF 54 vertical packaging machine

The MF 54 vertical bagger is a reliable, high-performing intermediate solution for packaging medium-sized formats.

This machine is a particularly popular and well-regarded model across numerous sectors, processing a wide range of products, the most common of which are pellets, cereals, animal feed and aggregates.

Productivity and Packaging Types

Starting from a reel of flat film, the machine forms the bag around the forming tube before carrying out vertical and horizontal heat-sealing, creating an airtight, three-seal pack.

The film is pulled down to the desired length by a pair of rubber belts, driven by a servo motor and fitted with a self-centring device; at the same time, the doser discharges the selected quantity of product into the bag.

With this technology, the MF 54 achieves remarkable production output, of up to 1,200 bags/hour for formats ranging from 5 to 20 kg. The finished packs have an extremely compact, square shape, reaching maximum dimensions of 470x680 mm.

Thanks to a range of dedicated accessories, the machine offers exceptional flexibility, enabling the production of a wide variety of complex pack types:

• Pillow bag
• Bag with side gussets
• Square-bottom bag with handle

In addition, the MF 54 Doypack version is available, designed to produce stand-up pouches (with or without a resealable zip). This is a modern, versatile and visually appealing packaging solution, ideal for the pet food, food and non-food sectors

Control, Robustness and Safety

The MF 54 stands out for its extremely simple operation and high compatibility with various types of weighing scales.

Through an intuitive touchscreen panel and an alphanumeric display, the operator has full control over the operating cycle, and can easily manage the sealing parameters and pack dimensions.

Safety and durability are at the heart of the construction design:

• Robust structure: The frame is made from AISI 304 stainless steel and the electronics used are top quality, a combination that guarantees optimal performance over time and maximises the return on investment.
• Operator safety: A perimeter guarding kit marks out the working area, protecting both the machinery and the safety of personnel while the system is running.

Integration into Complete Lines

Manufactured entirely, in every component, within MF TECNO's production facilities, the MF 54 is designed to be easily integrated into automatic lines.

Often installed as the heart of a complete packaging system, it works perfectly alongside palletising systems and pallet wrappers.

A typical, highly efficient configuration involves positioning it upstream of a medium-throughput Cartesian PCA Smart palletizer and a pallet wrapper WRAPR 35.
