MF PCA SMART palletizer

The MF PCA SMART palletizer, designed for medium production rates, combines efficiency, ease of use and versatility. The brushless motor guarantees reliability, speed and precision throughout the entire machining process.

This palletising robot is assembled from top quality materials and components and processes loads of up to 50 kg with throughputs of up to 500 cycles per hour. The standard height of the structure is just under 3 metres while the finished pallet has a maximum height of 1800 mm (pallet included). However, pallets and structures of greater heights can be manufactured, depending on the project required.

Its compactness and small size make it the ideal solution for working in confined spaces and prohibitive environments. It has a small footprint and can be easily placed in any end-of-line. Its modular structure then guarantees different mounting combinations and consequent adaptability to different working environments and existing systems.

The smart palletising robot is versatile, reliable and has an excellent price-performance relation. It enables the palletisation of numerous product types: bags, boxes, cartons and bundles.

The use of gripping modules is then adapted to the different needs of the customer and the specifics of the project. 

Grip system

The machine is prepared for the use of different gripping solutions. These can be customised with the possibility of inserting numerous optional extras according to the customer's requests and requirements. The main types of gripper are:

• fork gripping head with presser
• section cup gripping head
• gripping head with special pliers for boxes 

These provide handling, picking and storage and general palletising of boxes, bundles and sacks. Sacks include reel bags, pre-formed bags, valve bags to name but a few.

The heads rotate around their own vertical axis so as to deposit the sack in question according to the schedule.

Several versions are available, in line with the designs presented by the customer. The main ones are:

• Basic version, in which the material is deposited on pallets on the ground or on semi-automatic winders integrated inside the palletiser.
• Automatic version. Starting from the specially prepared automatic pallet magazine, roller conveyors and catenaries ensure continuous pallet feeding and evacuation. Operator intervention is limited only to loading the empty pallet magazine. This automatic palletiser option is particularly popular for continuous material handling. 

Command and control panel

The movement and interpolation system of the four Cartesian axes X, Y, Z and R produce a significant reduction in travel time.

The operator has complete control of the palletising scheme via the integrated PLC system with touch screen. He can thus modify a previous programme or create a new one without the intervention of a specialised technician. Modify the speed of the Cartesian robot according to different operating conditions.

Lastly, an automatic self-diagnosis is provided to display all alarms and warning messages. This facilitates communication in the event of the need for remote or on-site technical assistance. 

Safety devices

• Floor anchorage.
• Pallet entry and exit safety light curtains.
